How much is scrap steel worth?
Heavy steel is see our prices page for today's figure, light iron see our prices page, and new offcuts see our prices page. Ferrous prices are lower than non-ferrous but large loads still pay well.
Do you accept mixed ferrous loads?
Yes — just bring it all in and we'll sort and grade it on the day. You'll get the right price for each grade rather than a blended rate.
Do you buy old farm machinery?
Yes — tractors, implements, and farm equipment are all ferrous scrap. Call ahead for very large or awkward items and we can advise on the best approach.
What's the difference between light iron and heavy steel?
Heavy steel is generally over 6mm thick — girders, plate, structural. Light iron is thinner — car bodies, sheet, domestic appliances. Heavy steel pays more per tonne.
